Help families fleeing conflict
Over 6 million people have been forced to flee Ukraine in recent months.
Families made homeless by the conflict urgently need food, water and shelter.
In response to the crisis GOAL has launched an emergency appeal to help those in need.
Working with local partners, GOAL teams are delivering;
- food kits with essential items, clean water and cooking supplies
- hygiene kits including soap, sanitary products, baby wipes and nappies
- blankets and first aid kits to keep refugees warm and safe
GOAL teams were there for the people of Eastern Ukraine in 2015 and 2016 when they needed support most. Delivering food and financial assistance to families affected by the conflict.
Once again, with your support, we will be there for the people of Ukraine in their hour of need.

PLAN AND PROMOTE
Plan & promote a fundraising event – a cake sale, a sponsored walk, a coffee morning – the options are pretty endless. We’ve included a few ideas below, but really anything goes!
Let us know your plans, we are always happy to help and support. Whether it's fundraising materials like posters, sponsorship cards and t-shirts or guidance with timelines and budgets, we are on hand to assist you and our event.

Share, share, share! - Promote your event far and wide, on social media, with your friends and family, and share your fundraising page to raise as much funds as possible to help Ukrainian families in need.

Fundraise in any way that’s best for you, but if you’re stuck for inspiration check out some of our suggestions below:
Dress up (or Down)!
Host a Casual Clothes Day, a Jersey Day, dress with a theme or host a Blue and Yellow Day to show your support for the people of Ukraine!
Get Baking
Host a traditional bake sale or coffee morning with all proceeds going to GOAL's Ukraine Emergency Appeal.
Or mix it up and host a Bake Off or a daring game of Cake Roulette! Get yourselves baking and draw one person from a hat to bake the odd cake out and see who can avoid the spoiled slice!
Get Active and Try a Sponsored Challenge!
Take on a sponsored challenge such as a cycle or a community-wide 5k and encourage friends, family members and neighbours to get behind you with sponsorship!
Spring Clean for a Great Cause!
Hit two birds with one stone by holding a good old fashioned rummage sale! Take all those knick-knacks, clothes and any other items cluttering up your home that you’ve been meaning to do something about and get selling with all proceeds going to GOAL's Emergency Ukraine Appeal.
Get the community involved
Host a table quiz and make a night of it with a raffle and spot prizes for best answer, best team name, and overall prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
OR reach out to your local supermarkets and have a team of volunteers sign-up to pack bags and take donations.
Fundraising Tips
Set up your fundraising page
Cash is no longer king in many households, which is why we recommend the cashless option of a fundraising page.
However, you can still use cash to donate if that is easier for you. Just let us know and we can send you through details on how to make a lodgment.
Make it personal
Personalising your page can really boost your funds, by up to 46%!
Add a profile photo and be sure to include a thank you for supporters.
Promoting your fundraiser
- Promote your fundraising page on social media to drum up some awareness and support from your online community.
- Encourage loved ones to get involved too by sharing the fundraising link with friends and family.
- Reach out to local clubs and groups to get behind you as well. They can reshare your link on their own social media channels and help launch a community-wide appeal.
