Job Purpose 

GOAL has an exciting opportunity for committed professional to join a dynamic humanitarian organisation of 3,000 team members delivering life-changing programmes across 14 countries in Africa, Middle East and Latin America.   As part of GOAL’s Talent, Learning and Inclusion team, you will play a key role in the effective administration and organisation of various learning and development programmes and activities.   

You will be part of an innovative team shaped by their shared commitment to Diversity, Equality, Inclusion and Belonging and who are passionate about delivering impactful L&OD programmes in support of GOAL’s humanitarian mission, including leveraging new AI opportunities in learning strategies.  Please note, Our office is based in Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin. As part of our Hybrid working policy we we ask our employees to attend our office a minimum of 2 days per week.

 Duties and responsibilities: 

Training Administration & Implementation 

  • Coordinate and schedule training sessions, logistics for internal and external training programmes ensuring a seamless and effective learning experience for GOAL employees 
  • Handle administrative tasks such as preparing materials, managing participant registration, and communicating training details. 
  • Provide required support and guidance to external training providers and facilitators to organize courses and events and support during program delivery. 
  • Manage annual L&D curriculum and calendar – monitor mandatory training compliance 
  • Maintain accurate training records, including attendance, certifications, and feedback. 
  • Monitor and track budgets, invoices, and contracts related to learning and development activities. 
  • Monitor and report on training effectiveness and participation rates. 

 

Learning & Development Communication: 

  • Support the L&OD Adviser in the implementation of communication and marketing plans of new learning and development initiatives to GOAL employees  
  • Utilize a variety of media and tools to create approved L & D communication fliers  
  • Prepare and disseminate information, updates, notifications etc. via Learning & Development communication platforms  

 

Learning Management System (LMS) 

  • Facilitate the day-to-day operational maintenance of GOAL Learning Management System to track and report on employee training data and analytics (GOAL LMS & Training Management App). 
  • Liaise with LMS vendor(s) to ensure optimal utilisation and exploitation of the systems  
  • System Reporting and tracking on employee training data and analytics 
  • Collate feedback and system performance metrics to identify areas for improvement accordingly. 

 

Compliance and Reporting 

  • In addition to systems reporting, measure organizational investment (employee hours) of non-LMS trainings 
  • Prepare and submit required appropriate reporting analytics and dashboards for Training & Development via business intelligence tools e.g. Power BI 

 

  • Other duties as allocated by the L&OD Adviser and Head of Talent

 Requirements  

 

Essential 

  1. Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field. 
  1. 2+ years of experience in an administrative role, preferably within learning and development. 
  1. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. 
  1. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and use of learning management systems (LMS). 
  1. Excellent attention to detail and communication skills. 

 

Desirable  

  • Postgraduate degree or HR Training and Development certifications 
  • Proficiency in use of graphic design tools e.g. Canva and Adobe 
  • Languages: French and/or Arabic
